The grapes for the Caliterra Reserva Chardonnay are harvested from Caliterra’s Santa Marta Vineyard in the Casablanca Valley. The vines in the vineyard have an orientation to the northwest and grown on sandy loam soils. After the harvest the grapes are gently destemmed and macerated for a period of 15 – 22 days. 70% of the must is fermented at 16-20 degrees ℃ in 100% stainless steel tanks. The other 30% is fermented in barrels of second and third use. The entire fermentation time is about 15 to 22 days. Another 10% of the wine is aged in second use barrels for about 4 months to bring out fruit aromas and add more depth. The Caliterra Reserva Chardonnay is ready to drink.

Golden yellow with green hues, this wine shows great intensity on the nose. Fruity aromas of mango and pear are well accompanied by citrus and mineral notes. The palate is balanced and mineral, with a beautiful acidity, enhancing the flavors of pear on the palate. Good persistence on the mouth, with great freshness and vivacity.

Caliterra Reserva Chardonnay is a great companion with grilled and roasted white meats, fish/ shellfish, salads and mild creamy cheeses.
