Oude Kaap Chardonnay Reserve

The wines of Oude Kaap rooted in the beautiful Franschhoek Valley, where, since 1693, the steep ‘Groot Drakenstijn’ Mountains are a very important factor for the production of quality wines. Determination, preserverance, passion and innovation are as long as the spearheads of Oude Kaap and this legacy now lives on in the new generation of winemakers in this vigorous Estate. For the wines of Oude Kaap they chose the best fruit of the whole region and it also realizes that the essence of a good wine is the quality of the fruit. Through a rigorous selection of grapes and intensive contact with vintners determine the winemakers in this Estate which vats are chosen for Oude Kaap. This beautiful Reserve is made from 100% Chardonnay grapes. The wine is fermented in stainless steel barrels with roasted French oak rods.

Aromas of melon and exotic and tropical fruits dominate the taste. The creamy and soft taste and slight freshness make this a well balanced wine that is loved by many.
