Franschhoek Cellar was originally the co-operative wine producer for a community of grape farmers in the magnificent Franschhoek valley. Today they are a pillar of the community operating as a private cellar delivering fantastic quality wines with a distinctive personality and character that emulates the grace and charm of their French Huguenot heritage.
Franschhoek Vineyards Ltd was founded in 1945 by a group of local farmers to vinify their grapes on a co-operative basis. This image is now changed into operating as a private winery within the premium wine stable of DGB Ltd.
Besides initiating an uncompromising drive to produce great quality wines, Franschhoek Cellar now offers an outstanding value range of single variety wines, capturing the vibrant character and charm of our magnificent valley of wine. Today, the cellar is a proud and active pillar in the Franschhoek community.
