Paul Mas Sauvignon Blanc / Viognier
Grape variety/Vinification
The grapes come from their vineyards around Marseillette, Limoux and Montagnax. 3 Different places with different climatic patterns (cooler in Limoux and Marseillette, warmer in Montagnac), in order to reach a nice combination of aromas. This wine is made of about 70% Viognier and 30% Sauvignon Blanc. Each grape variety is vinified separately. Vinification and ageing on-lees during 2 months in stainless steel vats.
Tasting notes
This Viognier-Sauvignon Blanc suprises by its fresh elegance and fruity character. The subtle integration of full ripe peachy and white-flowered Viognier fits perfectly with the citrus flavors of the Sauvignon Blanc. Light yellow colour with green tones. Expressive nose with grapefruit, lime, apricot and tropical fruit. Very inviting and vibrant taste, well-balanced and smoothly drinkable. A supple, smooth, fruity finish that makes you desire a second glass.
Food pairing
It will pair very well with fish, sushi, sashimi, monkfish, seafood and clams, asparagus and salads. This is also a good companion to Indian cuisine.
