Wente Morning Fog Chardonnay

ƒ47,95

The name Morning Fog refers to the fog that forms in the bay of San Francisco. The unique orientation of the Livermore Valley drives the fogs far to the east, which carry cold air with them. This creates a Mediterranean or Maritime climate. This means that by night as well as in the morning the grapes can enjoy a lot of cooling until the sun dissolves the fog and provides the grapes with warmth. In this way, the grapes can ripe slowly and evenly, which naturally benefits the quality. This beautiful wine is made from Chardonnay grapes, supplemented with Gewürztraminer.

Bright and crisp flavors of pear, melon, citrus and green apple are balanced by subtle hints of toasty oak, and vanilla from barrel aging. With mouth-filling body, lingering minerality and balanced acidity, this wine delivers a long, refreshing finish.

This wine is delicious in combination with seafood or ravioli.
