Altivo Vinho Verde

ƒ19,75

General information
The Vinho Verde is a wine region in the north of Portugal, around the cities of Braga and Viana do Castelo and ending in Porto. The south of the region is along the Rio Douro; north along the river Minho. The Atlantic Ocean creates a temperate climate with abundant rainfall. The soil consists of granite with on the surface sand and humus. The Vinho Verde is Portugal’s largest DOC area and in export the most famous wine, after Porto. The name Vinho Verde does not refer to the green reflections that the white wine has, but to the fact that the green harvest takes place in the early summer and that the wines are brought to the market when they are young.
