Domaine Bousquet Malbec Grande Reserve
Grape variety/ vinification
The wine is composed of Malbec grapes, complemented with Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Syrah. The wine has aged in new and second use French oak barrels during 12 months and then 12 months in bottle.
Tasting notes
It presents an opaque, almost black violet color. In the nose it shows intense aromas with hints of ripe red fruit, plum, blackcurrant, black pepper and hints of candied fruit and jam. It has subtle notes of chocolate, coffee and walnut thanks to long aging in French oak barrels. On the palate it is velvety in style with soft and rounded tannin and notes of blackberry, spices and truffle that provide an aromatic complexity with an exquisite finish.
Food pairing
This wine is ideal for pairing with roasted meats with sauce, cheese and chocolate desserts. It has a potential for 8-10 years aging in correct storage conditions.
