Graham Beck MCC Brut
From Madiba magic to Obama mania – Graham Beck Brut has been the bubbly to beat! It was the celebratory drink of choice both at Nelson Mandela’s inauguration and Barack Obama’s presidential win. The grapes for this wine originate from a selection of Pinot Noir and Chardonnay from our vineyards in Robertson, Franschhoek and Stellenbosch. In the Cellar Whole bunch pressing ensures fractional recovery. Fractional recovery refers to separating two or more juice components while pressing whole bunches in a grape press. After settling of the juice the two varieties are fermented separately. They are then cross blended along with reserve wine, bottled and left for 15 to 18 months yeast contact time before disgorgement.
This wine shows light yeasty aromas with limey fresh fruit on the nose, and a rich creamy complexity on the palate. The fine mousse provides freshness and finesse.
Combine the beautiful fruit and biscuity flavours of this Methôd Cap Classique with fish, foie gras, salmon and caviar. Also delicous with asparagus and artichokes.
