Jean-Claude Mas Rouge IGP

Grape variety/Vinification
This red wine is a blend of different grape varieties with strong character: Grenache Noir, Carignan, Merlot and Syrah. The soil consists of clay and limestone with gravel. The harvest is done mechanical at night. The wine matures for 4 months in steel tanks before being bottled.

Tasting notes
Light garnet color with purple hues. In the nose complexe aroma’s of plums, raspberries and wood, which develop to soft herbs. The wine is fruity and has a rich and round mouthfeel. Soft, well balanced, with fresh licorice. The wine can be kept for 2 to 3 years.

Food pairing
The wine pairs well with white meat, grilled meat, Spanish tapas, bruschetta and soft to medium cheeses.
