Poggiotondo Chianti Superiore DOCG

This excellent wine consists of three grape varieties: Sangiovese, Canaiolo and Colorino. The Superiore grapes are fermented in cement tanks using only indigenous yeasts for 12 days at 28°C. Then the wine is aged in oak casks for 12 months. The soil is calcareous with white sea shells, that impart elegance and complexity to wines.

Dark cherry coloured wine. There is a nicely rocky quality to the pure, fresh dark fruit. Deliciously succulent with spicy, sweet dark cherry and wild fruit, but a little savoury too. Beautifully balanced and harmonious. Both smooth and tangy and a fresh finish.

Delicious to enjoy on itself or with an Italian traditional dish.
